Champion Summer Sail 2026
All aboard for this years' annual gathering.
Once a year, we swap the site for the sea and invite everyone across our 300-plus team to join us for the Champion Summer Sail. It’s our way of saying thank you to the people who make Champion what it is.
This year’s sail had our best turnout yet. Colleagues from our site teams, apprentices and office teams came together, along with some of the legends who helped build the business we’re proud to be part of today.
We set off from the Barbican Steps for around four hours on the water, catching up with people we don’t always get to see from one project to the next and enjoying a good old knees-up, before carrying on the celebrations back on dry land.
The weather wasn’t quite as summery as the name promised, but when did a bit of wind and rain ever stop a groundworker in their tracks? Spirits stayed high, and it was one of our best Summer Sails yet.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the day such a good one, and to Plymouth Boat Trips for having us on board. Here’s to next year!
