S278 Works complete
Find out more about our recently completed S278 works at Wolborough, near Newton Abbot.
We're delighted to share that we recently completed the planned S278 works at Wolborough, near Newton Abbot for our valued clients, Vistry and Baker Estates. This new roundabout and the surrounding roads are now completely open to the public.
Anything but a straightforward installation, a great amount of work has gone into this aspect of our work on-site over the last 10 months, including:
➡️ Relocation of Gas Mains
➡️ Relocation of HV cables
➡️ Relocation of LV cables
➡️ Relocation of Fibre Optic cables
➡️ Rediverted 3 key water mains
➡️ Reduced the footprint of the previous roundabout by roughly 1.5m
➡️ Installation of a retaining wall outside the nearby cemetery
➡️ Installation of new drainage beneath the roundabout and surrounding roads
➡️ New signage installation
➡️ Kerbs & tarmac installation
It is worth noting that our team were able to undertake all the above complex works, whilst maintaining public access to the cemetery throughout. No mean feat at all, so a huge well done to our team working on this project!
