supporting our communities

Find out more about our recent donation of items to Bowhill Primary School, Exeter in partnership with Protekt Safety Wear.
We were delighted to be able to recently support the team at Bowhill Primary School in Exeter with a donation of items for their LEAP area — Learn, Explore, Adventure, Play.
Over the past year, the team at Bowhill Primary School has been working hard to create more opportunities for play, recognising the wide-ranging benefits this brings to children. One area of focus has been loose parts play — giving children a selection of open-ended materials and letting their imagination do the rest.
This kind of play encourages den building, teamwork, problem solving and structured risk-taking, helping children to build valuable skills through creativity and exploration.
The impact has been clear to see, with the school observing more collaborative play across year groups, fewer behavioural incidents and improved attendance since increasing its focus in this area.
We were pleased to support this fantastic initiative with a donation of construction materials, including drainage pipe, ducting and plastic DPM. A special thank you to the team at Protekt Safety Wear, who helped us create a set of brilliant miniature Champion Groundworks PPE items for the children too.
A huge well done to everyone at Bowhill Primary School for continuing to champion their pupils and their imagination, every day.
